Wait list appointments

Have any of the waitlisted candidates received an appointment from The USNA?
 
We've read several posts from candidates who have been taken off the wait list but have yet to hear of a candidate that has been offered an appointment.

Every candidate applying to the academy doesn't participate on this forum. You can't draw conclusions just based on those who post here.
 
Would anyone venture a guess as to how many wait listed candidates remain on the list?
 
I suspect the only coherent and accurate list exists in Admissions, and so far they haven't released any clue as to how many WL's have been picked-up, and for them to release that information would be a first in the my 21 years as a BGO and AC. It could happen, but...
