congressional redistricting

What should I do if I am currently in TN-07, but since redistricting for tennessee's congressional districts occured this year, I believe I will be in the 8th district next year. Who should I apply to for a nomination?

We are in the same situaion in Texas. I called both congressional offices and spoke to the staffer in charge of the academy nominations. In our case, they told us that, since the redistricting doesn't apply until January and the deadlines are in Sept/Oct, we apply to the current district. If for some reason DS doesn't get in and re-applies next year, it will be with the new MOC.

It may or may not be the same in TN. Just call and ask.

BTW, I called the admissions office at USMA too. Although they were very nice, they didn't know the answer regarding redistricting. The MOC office did.

I heard the same thing as above. I will be under a new Congressman in January, but I e-mailed USMA admissions and was told to re-apply to my current MOC. My regional commander also e-mailed the same thing to my district.

I would call to confirm though, I thought I would be under a new MOC for this term for other reasons, so it can't hurt to double check.

The elections are in November and the MOCs in both the previous and new Districts could change as a result of the elections.
You need to have your application for nomination in TO YOUR CURRENT MOC by the September-October time frames (exact date is up to each MOC). Things get tricky now as your new MOC might have his own nominations already set. Your WP Regional Coordinator and the local WP Field Force people will try their best to work this out between the original and current MOC - - no one can predict exactly how this will go.
Keep in close contact with your Regional WP Admissions officer to guide you thru this maze.
