Glasses during CBT

I know that traditionally cadets and recruits have been issues the S9's (BCG's) to use in beast. I know that the military has moved toward issuing the new 5A's and have phased out the BCG'S. Does anyone know if we will be issues the BCG's or if we will be issued te new 5A's?
 
Current cadets told me they probably got those already... the 5As...

But they could still give us the BCGs for BEAST... you know, for the hell of it :yllol:
 
A related but separate question: are we issued the glasses immediately on R-Day, or later during Beast?

Also, my understanding is that we will be issued the 5As instead of the S9s
 
I just went through some pictures of Annaplolis' I-Day today an they all had the new 5A's so I am going to venture a guess that we will be getting them as well.
 
None of the paperwork specifies, but if you get a color that stands out you will become a target. Blending in is the best option I think, so I bought a black strap.

Thanks for prompt reply. I'm thinking Pokemon themed, personally.
 
It's the new ones (I saw them on Mock Rday). They are in a room in Thayer..in a case w/ NC's name on them....just waiting!

I wear glasses for reading. I don't know if that means I will have to wear my issued glasses at all times or at my discretion. I wasn't really sweating it...figured I will be told either way. But how critical is it to have an eyeglass strap? Do I risk losing my glasses without one?
