Mass Athletics

As scoutpilot said, it's group athletics. It is also the time when those who wish to do so can tryout for certain teams (Football, Soccer, Basketball, etc). Those who aren't trying out for a corps or club squad team will participate in some kind of company athletics. It could be anything from a short run to ultimate frisbee to flag football to dodgeball.

Lot's of specifics on company, club, and corps squad mandantory athletics in the catalog on the admissions page:

Page 161 gives the rationale, 159 specifics on company & club sports.

The athletic program is guided by the dictum, “Every cadet an athlete, every athlete challenged. Every cadet at West Point competes in intercollegiate, club or intramural sports.

This is an aspect of cadet life at USMA, so it's worth understanding. I've seen schedules of what company sports are offered when, that may be in the catalog or on the DCA page. Depending on interest and gender, you may or may not get your choice for company sports.

If you are inclined to any of the club sports it's worth looking into. They often get you off campus more, and some have "authos", which is also a plus.
