Hi I just submitted my canidate activities record, but now I am a little nervous that I made a few mistakes on it. When it say varsity sports participated in, it means just the sports that you participated in that had a varsity team and were part of the high school federation of sports, not just the sports that you made varsity in, right? Also the whole application asks for the activities you did 10th-12th grade, but then the resume says to put what you have done 9th-12th grade, so that's what I did. But, reading the application handbook, it says just include activities that you have done 10th-12th grade. Should I have just included the activities that have done 10th-12th grade on my resume or should I be all right? Thanks for reading this!!

You should only mark the sports for which you received a varsity letter in. I'm not sure about how the second part works. I would check myself, but USAFA has my portal closed.

I did track and field from 9-12th grade. I never got a letter... but it was varsity so I marked it down anyway. There is a separate spot where you indicate when you got a letter.

I don't remember seeing a second place to mark down the fact that you got a varsity letter. Thanks for correcting me.

I understand what you guys are talking about, but I was just looking at the handbook again, and it says, "take credit for all events that were sanctoned by a state, region, or natonal sports organization". So, I take this to mean that they want you to include all sports.

Do yourself a favor and contact the admissions office directly. There are plenty of advice from well-meaning applicants that are inaccurate or outdated. Just because you've gone to the process before doesn't make you an expert. Especially to posters who we'rent given an appointment.
There are two counselors at the USAFA that handle your submitted applications by alphabetical order depending on your last name. The phone number and fax are the same.

From the USAFA Admissions portal:
USAFA Counselor:
Crista Hill
800-443-9266 x3805
719-333-3012 (fax)

Trust but verify.

Well said. Make sure you contact your counselor. They will be in the know.

Thank you guys for answering my question. I took your advices and called up my counselor, and she said that if I didn't think I did it right I could mail them my resume, but after I hung up with her, I found that I had actually printed the completed form out before I submitted it. I totally forgot about it. It turns out that I did it right, so no need to send them a resume, and it turns out that all this worrying was for nothing. I definitley feel better now that I took the time to make sure I got it all correct. Thanks, once again, for answering my questions and giving me good advice:thumb:
