What happens if a basic can't complete the entire obstacle course? My sister is pretty short and I know she struggled with getting over the wall. From WebGuy's pictures, it looks like she had to walk around it. My mom noticed she wasn't in the group picture at the end of the obstacle course, and she is worried sick.

I don't know what courses are mandatory to complete but I know in the past they have had a make up day the last Friday they are in Jacks for Basics to complete courses they missed for illness/injury.

As for being worried - no news is good news in this case. Your mom would only be contacted if there was an issue.

It takes A LOT to kick someone out, and I seriously doubt failure of the O-course will do that.

The Wall

I definitely wouldn't worry. I've seen plenty of WebGuy pics of folks walking around the wall. I believe the wall is meant to be a challenge, not an elimination.

WHAT!!! Didn't you watch "An Officer and a Gentleman"? CIGAR almost got kicked out because she couldn't climb the wall. But Mayo gave up the obstacle course record to help her and the team. It was a touching moment. And remember, Zack almost got kicked out for (Cheating) selling/buying pre-shined shoes and buckles on the sideline. But Foley cut him a break when he broke down and said: "I have nowhere else to go".

So see...... They can kick you out in basic training. Even over the obstacle course. I saw it in a movie once.

Are you sure you haven't been into the WEED?

No, they would never kick anyone out for that.

It's all about effort.

The obstacle course has quite a few obstacles, only a certain percentage are required to "pass."
