Admission to Texas A&M University

Could someone that has been accepted to or has attended Texas A&M University please post a list of academic and extracurricular achievements (such as grades, test scores, athletics, clubs, extracurricular activities and positions, etc.)? Thank you very much.
 
The only stats of mine that mattered was being in the top quarter of my class and having a 1340 SAT composite which meant I was in automatically under the academic admit program. Besides that I've taken 5 AP classes, numerous honors classes, 4 years in band, 3 years in NJROTC, and 2 years in the National Honor Society. If you don't qualify for automatic admission under the top 10% or academic admit program be sure your grades and extracurriculars are impressive because it is significantly harder to get in.
 
If you do not get into college station directly, you should not overlool what they call the galveston option. You can get into Texas A&M Galveston and transfer to college station. There is a corps of cadet unit at galveston. Most kids there are navy rotc. However, if you choose to stay and graduate from their maritime academy, you can commission into the coast guard. I did attend theri graduation last december and one grad was rerporting to Pensacola to begin naval flight training.

Texas A&M

My daughter was not in the top 10% of her graduating class (despite having a 4 year cumulative of 96%) and was accepted to A&M. She made a 1380 on her SAT, had over 160 documented community service hours, was an AP Scholar, took 6 AP classes in HS, worked part time @ Panera, fenced for 2 years, and had a few community leadership positions that lasted all 4 years of high school. I think it was her diversified background that helped her get admitted.
 
I applied to Texas a&m last year, and was rejected. They REALLY care about your SAT (math and reading) your class rank and then your extra curriculars. They all have to be strong, really, as a&m ha been gettif more and more difficult to get into every year.

Also wanted to note some people think that checking corps of cadets interested on the app is helpful to getting in, it is not. You must gain acceptance to the university FIRST then they will see if they can admit you to the corps

It's also harder to get into a state college from a different state if you were applying from New York, Just assuming from the location given in your profile.
