I recently found out that there is a candidate in my congressional district who is "committed" to Navy for Lacrosse. Does this mean that if we end up on the same nomination slate, he will automatically receive the nomination and the other 9 candidates will be put on the NWL? My congressman follows the nomination process where he picks 10 candidates and lets USNA decide which one to give his nomination to. I want to know if being a "committed athlete" will give him a guaranteed nom if he is triple Q'd.

The RA still has to compete for the Nomination and be "3Q". If another candidate is the better pick from that district they are still the top choice. If the RA is a good candidate they may pick up another nomination from another source. This is why every candidate should strive to get a nomination from all possible sources.

A good chance that your competition will go to the Prep School.

The fact is that most of Navy lacrosse players attend the Prep school.
