I'm applying to the service academies. I know that im going to fail the eye portion of the test for sure. How do I apply for a medical waiver? Is it automatically submitted by the academies?
"There is no need for you to request a medical waiver. If you are competitive for an appointment to the United States Air Force Academy or one of our preparatory programs, we will automatically process a medical waiver for USAFA on your behalf."
Is that accross the board for all the acedemies? I have a remedial that I am submitting documentation for. If it turns into a DQ, will USMA automatically apply for a waiver? My FFR told me I was listed as "admissable".

A remedial is nothing more than a request for further information regarding a potentially disqualifying condition. If you are DQ'd, USMA may or may not seek a waiver for you. It depends on the severity and type of condition, as well as the caliber of the candidate. Unfortunately, you have no control over the waiver process. Just concentrate on what you can control; grades, physical fitness, ECs, etc. Best wishes.
