Just came to say that this forum has helped me so much in my process of learning and applying for USMA.

I'm in the Class of '16 now, and I can't thank this forum, its moderators, and everyone who contributes to the threads enough. Its what helped me get in here.

I'm glad to see new names on the threads. I guess Class of '17,'18 has taken over.

On that note, I'm glad to help anyone with anything about the academy or anything related to the academy (aka applications). Have a crazy question? ask it. I dont mind.

Good luck on your apps for college and the academies. Enjoy the time in HS.

As a fellow Class of '16'er, I second this and yeah anyone with questions feel free to send me a PM as well, as this forum helped me greatly in getting information I needed to prepare to apply and come here. Good luck to all you current and future applicants out there and keep up the hard work because it pays off.:thumb:

Thanks, both of you, for continuing to frequent the forums.
It is great to have cadets on board here to share their admissions experience and about current life at West Point. :thumb:

Welcome back! I Hope all is going well for you so far! I just have a few questions;).

1.What are your thoughts on Academy life?
2.Is it tougher or easier than you expected?
3.What is something that you wish you could have been better prepared for?

1. Life itself is definitely company and individual dependent. If you slack off and lack motivation, you will have a rough time. If not, it won't be too bad. This is a place you have to really want to be.

2. It is easier than I expected - academically, physically, and mentally. As long as you practice good time management, this place is not too bad. However, 95% do not have good time management, so it is more difficult.

3. Ran more. There will be a lot of running in Beast. Also I wish I tried in my AP histories in high school so I could validate them here.

Thanks! I will make sure I am in good running shape when I get to Beast!

If I may ask, what are your guys' specific motivation for attending the Academy? Do you have a specific branch or career in mind for after?
