Who notifies MOCs?

Waiver denied

Can you tell us how you learned of denied waiver? Would you mind sharing the condition here or in a private email. Where you told when the waiver authorities were about to review your file? Any insight into the process would be appreciated. Sorry to hear about the denial. Is there any appeal process you can follow?

This whole process is very confusing. As it turns out, the waiver authorities have not reviewed my file at all. The status was on my WP page and I got a letter telling me to direct all further questions to DODMERB. When I called DODMERB, they told me I wasn't being submitted for a waiver which is odd because the DQ was only a 6 month disqualification. (I can PM you more information, if you want)

Now today, the status on my WP page changed again. I just got off the phone with DODMERB and I am back in the pile to be reviewed for a waiver but it may be up to 90 days. By that time, the six months will be almost over so I won't need to appeal. After six months, according to the person I spoke to, I just need to ask DODMERB to review my file and when they see six months has passed, the DQ will be taken off.

In the meantime, it seems my Congressional rep took me out of consideration because of the DQ. They have no way of knowing it was a six month DQ. He's not running for re-election and is trying to wrap up his slate quickly. I am trying to see if his committee will reconsider since my status now changed to "Waiver requested" but I believe they have already scheduled interviews.

At this point, unless something miraculous happens with one of my senators, I will need to reapply next year since all of this won't be settled in time for the class of 2017. What is sad is that I got my file completed early and was told I was "addmissible". That's how I got scheduled for DODMERB sooner. If I had waited longer, I would have had the MOC part done before the DQ and avoided this. It's just bad timing. :frown:

Waiver

I will send you a pm if you don't mind. This is a challenging process. Thanks.
