This might be a bit of an odd question, but something I should probably ask now than wait until when I`m actually AT USNA (Assuming I actually get there! )
I`ve been wanting to try crew, seems like a cool sport, something I definitely might be good at, but there`s no crew team at my high school, nor around here...the closest thing we have around here is a lake, but no rowing teams. But since all mids at USNA have to participate in some type of sport, well, you can guess what I`d like to do .
My questions is, it seems like most are recruited athletes, so how could I walk on, especially if I have no experience? Is this something that I`d have no chance of doing? Even for something like track, even if I wasn`t on a team, I can always run, and try to walk on, even though I`d have a extremely slim chance of doing so, but you can`t really just row...
So what to do? Any ideas, suggestions, experience?
Thanks everyone.
