Can I submit my DODMERB early?

I am applying for USMA and have already done my medical exam on my own time. I understand that the academy is supposed to schedule it for you but I've already done it. Will it be accepted and cleared for my application process if I fax it?

I would be grateful for any help or advise. Thanks.

You have to be evaluated by DoD approved Drs following the instructions you receive from USMA. They will only send you through the DoDMERB process if they deem you competitive. You'll have to wait to go through THEIR process of determining if you are medically qualified. THEY will send you information on how to schedule your appointments and provide you with forms that need to filled out in the greatest detail.

Basically, the answer to your question is that you cannot have your own medical exam outside of DoDMERB process.

+1 to Dad's post.

To expand upon why this is the case, it is simple. DoDMERB docs are approved by the DOD to administer these exams. There are specific forms, and tests that are required. It is not like a sports physical or yrly check-up.

Certain answers will immediately start a DQ process, and these docs know those areas due to their DoDMERB certification.

It also eliminates the risk of a personal connection issue.

Keep your records for the JIC, but be prepared to take the DoDMERB.

You won't get a request until the branch considers you competitive, because it is a cost issue from a budget perspective. It can happen tomorrow, or 2 months from now. As a WP candidate, USMA must request the exam.

Sit tight, you are in the holding pattern and can do nothing more until they act.
