Hey there! This may have already been discussed in this forum, and if it has been - I apologize! I was just wondering if it was beneficial to have multiple nominations? I have a congressional and a senatorial nomination. If admissions deems that I am a qualified candidate, could this possibly give me the upper hand?

Thanks for all the help in advance, and good luck to everyone this year for admissions! :)

Yes it does give a slight advantage, but not in the way you would think. The only advantage you get, is that you get to compete on two different MOC slates instead of one.

In other words, each senator or congressman can give 10 nominations, and one of those 10 will be selected and charged to the respective service academy. This means that, if you have two nominations, you get to compete for two slots instead of one. It doesn't increase your chances significantly, but it does give a slight advantage still.

Alrighty, thanks for the input! :) Have merry christmas and happy new year!
