The DS just got his BFE in the mail today and we are so HAPPY!!!!:yllol::yllol::yllol:

Congratulations!!! I live in Rhode Island and my DS received his on Feb 9th last year. I didn't want to post the date and have people get too excited in case they were not sending out the BFE's at this time this year, but I figured what the heck. Good Luck to all who are patiently waiting to hear back!!!

Congratulations to you and your DS. Glad to hear that the notifications are forthcoming. We’ll keep our fingers and toes crossed and continue praying that HIS will be done! Curious to know -- does the Admissions portal reflect the appointment?

Portal never changed from candidate and LOA. BFE just showed up in California.

The BFE says go to the DS portal and accept his appointment. But so far the portal has not caught up with the mail. But hay....a lot of pressure off.

Thanks for the kind words as it has been a long hard intense wonderful ride watching my DS mature into a man. By the way the portal changed to Appointment Offered along with a link to accept or decline. I will leave that for my DS to do when he get home from school.

john40157, we had the family gather around as DS clicked the 'accept'. It was awesome!!! Then there is lots of paperwork to do and the running, running, running and more running.....
 
Just curious...to those who received the BFE, did your MOC's office call you in advance and let you know of the appointment? When our DS was appointed to USNA 3 years ago, our MOC called first. Our DD is waiting to hear from USAFA and USNA and so I was wondering if it is just up to the MOC, or what the protocol is. Thanks and congrats to all!!! :thumb:
 
Moc and phone call

Our MOC lost the election and my DS did not get a phone call. The BFE just arrived and we are excited.
