Got "the call" from our MOC's office!

Got a call from our MOC's office (he likes to tell parents the good news ahead of time) letting me know that DD will receive her Offer of Appointment BFE next week. Haven't told DD yet (she was at school when I got the call, and is now at work), but will do so when everyone is at the supper table later this evening. What a great way to follow up the CVW last weekend! :biggrin:

Am planning to approach the news a bit indirectly :wink: Will confirm with her that she has followed through with her lingering-until-last week Plan-B application, and will segue into a question about a hair salon appointment for the trim she has been asking for over the past few weeks (her hair is halfway to her waist right now). I figure I will ask: "So, do you want all your hair cut off before or after high school graduation?" And then wait for the response like: "Why do I need to decide that now?" (... or something close)

Sorry ... Am a single Mom of three girls, and DD is my oldest. This is going to be fun :shake: She is going to be deliriously happy, and I am going to cry.

I hope your other two daughters like to wear Navy gear !!
 
Congratulations! I hope her BFE arrives quickly. My son didn't want to quite believe it until the appointment was in his hands!
 
Same here. Just got back from CVW and we were mentally prepared to wait out the next 4-6 weeks and then the call came in. We're thrilled!

My DS got an email from our senator's office on Tuesday, January 22 informing him of his appointment to USNA. It said the BFE would be in the mail by Friday (the 25th). We stalked the mailbox until it arrived on February 2. ELEVEN LONG DAYS IN WAITING!!!!! I hope yours arrives sooner...but at least you can use this as a frame of reference...Congratulations!!!!

Please remember to add her to the "USNA Class of 2017 Appointment Thread" when you get a minute - it's been great to watch the BFE's spread out across the country.

It looks like there are several new appointees mentioned in the replies to this thread - please join the list as well. (Flatstanley, I see you there already - thanks!)
