Junior class schedule

Course registration for next year starts next week and I have no clue on what to take for science and math.I am currently taking 2AP classes and 3 honors and the course load isn't bad at all. I will be taking pre-calculs, AP chemistry, Ap US history, Spanish 5-6,and possibly AP English next year as a junior . That would leave me with one or possibly 2 open class periods. I could take anatomy as a zero period mainly because I want to major in biology. That would leave me stuck between taking physics to prepare for AP physics as a senior and taking AP stats and set me up for AP calculus AB. If I don't take stats as a junior I could take it as a senior and not take AP calculus. I've been told that AP calculus is a GPA killer. I somewhat struggle with math even though I managed to pull out a 95% last semester in algebra 2 with a good amount of time studying. What should I take to give myself the best chance at getting an appointment?

Eventually you'll want to take AP Physics and AP Calc to give yourself the best chance. You'll need to work hard at the Calc. Not saying you have to take them but if you can take them, work hard, and do well it will give you a great shot academically.
 
Not taking calculus in high school when it is offered will be a red flag in your application. Take it and work hard.
 
You don't need AP Stats as a precursor to AP Calc- they are entirely different mathematical disiplines. If anything, having a background in Calculus will help you with the AP Physics, even if it is not calculus based (it will help you have a better grasp of how certain formulas are derived and correlate, such as acceleration from velocity, velocity from position, etc.). I took AP Calc AB and AP Calc BC before AP Stats and am doing just fine. Having the first year of physics before AP Physics will definitely help as well.

I'd also assume getting an A in Calc really strengthens your application.:thumb: Easier said than done.... I went though 6 quarters of calc and could never get an A. I remember getting a few C's. :redface:
