Well--one down--received my letter from Obama's office today. Not good news. They apparently did not even do interviews this year--which is not surprising. I am wondering though what the stats were of someone who did receive a nom from his committee. I have my congressional interview tomorrow tomorrow but I live in a very competitive district, so even though I have been triple q'd by both USAFA and USNA, and look great on paper, it is not looking good in the nomination department. Anyone else interviewing with Captain Lovell's committee in the 10th district tomorrow for a Navy nom? My CGO at USNA called yesterday and told me that I was a great candidate and even if I did not receive a nom, I would still have a chance because I would be put in a "national pool." Very disheartening though--was at USNA for candidate visit last weekend and was very optimistic.
