Marine dies in skydiving accident

Yes, I would sure like to learn more of the details. I was surprised to learn the Marines were using a private airfield/ jump school.

In reflecting on this incident, I was reminded of how dangerous a military career can be. Even in peacetime, service members are severly injured in accidents while training or doing their job. It is a dangerous occupation. Accidental discharges, vehicle rolls in rough terrain, short rounds, defective munitions, and many other acciddents can kill or maim.

God bless 'em.

Yeah the dangers went through my mind too, but I didn't mention it because i didn't want to think about it. Just finished reading "Lone Survivor" and a short biography of Michael Murphy last week and those books as well as this article have really brought it home to me again... probably more than it ever has been.
