I have been reading and learning on this forum for some time.

My DS has worked for much of life to achieve his goal of becoming an officer in the USAF. He has gratefully accepted an AFROTC scholarship to a fantastic school and awaits word from the USAFA. Whether via plan "A" (USAFA) or plan "a" (AFROTC), I have faith he will end up exactly where he belongs. I am not as patient as he is to know what news the coming weeks will bring, but I am confident all will work out.

Thank you to those who have shared stories and information. Your input has helped me through many months of questions!

My DS was where yours is today 2 years ago. The waiting was difficult, but well worth it. He would have done great at the local engineering school with a ROTC scholarship. Instead, he got the call and is currently a content (most of the time) C3C at USAFA. It is wonderful that your DS is in a win-win situation. Best wishes to your DS. :thumb:
