Does anyone know when the results for who got picked up for an EA come out? Thanks! Anticipation is a killer.

You mean to go to Field Training?

The date should be March 22.

Pretty nervous, but I'm sure we'll be fine.

Oh wow.

I should have kept it a surprise then

How are your stats looking like?

Yeah,

From what I heard slot percentage will be the same as last year or better.

But with all the sequestration talk not sure if it'll happen.

Our Cadre gave us the same date as well.

My stats are:
GPA: 3.3
Major: Non-tech
SAT: 1290
Ranking: 2/3
PFA: 95.3

I'm pretty nervous!! Y'all say the percentage will be the same as last year... what was last year's?

Last years percentage was at about 80%-90%.
But Detachment commanders would cut the cadets applying if they did not meet
their standards (GPA,PFA). Like at my det, our commander has a set GPA and PFA you have to meet (which is higher than minimum) to even compete.

You put your ranking as 2/3?

Are there only 3 FTP cadets competing for slots at your det?

I would say you are at about average or a bit above.
I don't know too much on non-tech since I am a tech major

S72004,

I meant middle 2/3rds (there are about 45 FTP cadets).

80-90% is good! Hopefully it will be the same this year!

Yep hopefully.

I'm sure we'll be fine though.

My stats are about the same as yours. We have a pretty good shot

What do you think of my shot -
2.8 cgpa with a last term gpa of 4.0
93.4 pfa
1120 SAT
Top 3 CC rank
non tech major

Hmm,

Your GPA is a bit on the low side for a non-tech major. However, your Det ranking is pretty high. Det Ranking can pretty much make or break you.
Since you had a previous term GPA of 4.0 I'm sure your cadre noticed more effort on your part which is a plus.

I can't remember exactly the SAT scores for 2012 FT EA slots. But your right around average for both PFA and SAT scores.

We had a cadet in our Det with a much lower gpa than yours, but kicked butt in everything he did. Volunteering, taking charge, etc.
Det ranking was really high. Which goes back to my point that Det ranking can make or break you.

I'm sure you'll be fine!

March 22nd is the big day!

My stats (out of 22 200s):

GPA: 3.65
PFA: 98.5
Major: Poli Sci (non tech)
ACT composite score (screw a SAT): 26
Commander ranking: Top 3rd, possibly top 5 (Commander didn't give exact stats, just told me I'm "really high" hah)

I got a in-college Type II scholarship last fall, and I know it's blacked out when our name hits the boards, but it was a huge confidence booster. Getting a scholarship as a non-tech is a good sign..

..but now the Sequester's here. So all bets are off.

I hope you all hear good news in a week.

My stats are:
GPA: 3.5
Major: Non-tech
SAT: 1310
Ranking: no clue
PFA: 96.3

One of the AS200 classes at my det heard the amount of slots being given out this year was "higher than expected". Not really sure what that would amount to but at least its good news.

Beonks are you at Det 159?

Yeah,

GPA: 3.5, Computer Engineering
PFA: 100 (woo! lol)
Ranking: Top Third (12 cadets)

Does anyone have any insight on how a low PFT score might affect my chances for SFT?

I've a 3.0 GPA in atmospheric sciences, above average SAT scores, incredible leadership demonstration through the years, and my det cadre know I'm motivated and committed. Just not sure how an ~86 will affect my chances.

Thanks in advance.

This is the weighting used... 50% RSS, 20% CGPA, 15% PFA and 15% SAT-E. RSS is based on commander's ranking and class size. My son believes he will find out by weeks' end. Good luck to you!

crayola,

Before I respond, can you explain to us your PFT score; why it is IMPHO so low?
