Reapplying after determined medically qualified?

I applied to the AFA for the class of 2017, but I caught a snag at the medical area concerning my skin and do not think my waiver will go through in time/get approved. While filling out my application I decided that more is better, which was probably bad, because DoDMERB is now under the impression that I have a skin allergy to the sun.
However, I am not allergic to the sun. I've never gotten sun burnt before so I took my skin for granted and decided to go 2 summers with out any sunscreen. When I did get the sunburns they did not look like other people's sunburn so I was confused by it is all. I just need to actually wear sunscreen and I'm fine.

In the event that I am reinstated as medically qualified, but for whatever reason am not competitive enough or the waiver does not come through in time, if I reapply, will I need to restate my medical issues as before and go through the waiver process again, or will they be able to pull this information from my last application?

Your DODMERB exam is good for two years, so you won't need to go through it again, unless you develop a new medical condition, which you'd need to report.

And you would know your condition is waiverable. However, the fact a SA/ROTC gives you a waiver in one year does not mean they must/will do it the next year. There's a strong likelihood that they will but not a certainty.

If the DoDMERB exam is good for two years, doesn't that mean I won't have to fill out the medical section again during the application process? So I won't have to worry about an waiver processes anymore?

If you are declared DQ'd by DoDMERB, you then may be considered for a waiver by ROTC/SA. If you re-apply, your DoDMERB results will still say DQ'd and ROTC/SA may consider you for a waiver. DoDMERB only determines if you meet medical standards. The ROTC/SA decide whether or not to pursue a waiver on your behalf.

IOW, you do not have to repeat the DoDMERB process, but the results still stand. If you are deemed DQ'd, the waiver process begins again.

Ohh okay. Thank you for the clarification. Does that mean I would have to resend a remedial to DoDMERB again, or would the ROTC/SA just take a peek and decide on waivering?

You shouldn't need to send anything more unless your situation changes. However, to clarify my earlier post, if you have not been told whether your condition is waiverable and are turned down, you should contact the SA/ROTC and ask them whether your condition is waiverable.

If your condition is not waiverable, there is no use in reapplying.
