Hello all. I have gleaned so much information from all of you and are so thankful. Congratulations to all who have received scholarships. Does anyone know if we should be seeing anymore AROTC scholarship notifications or is it completed. We are getting our plan B in order and was just curious. Thanks

There may be some additional offers, but they will be very few and very selective. Recommend executing plan B and contacting your school/ROO of choice ASAP.
I have a question. The school I attend has a two-year AFROTC program and the cadre instructor said my scholarship app would go in around july. Do you or anyone know why it will be submitted so late? Is it because I'm already in college?

We have already submitted the $300 tution deposit. I am hoping that will make the army offer him ascholarship in the next few days to a different school. Seems to work that for me often.

The one at my university is. You enter as a junior and go to field training between junior and senior year. It is a small detachment as well. It"s very condensed from what the cadre instructor said because they do everything in two years instead of four.
No one seems to be familiar with the two-year program so I'm having difficulty getting info apart from the cadre instructors themselves.

DS applied for national AROTC scholarship. Went thru the first 2 boards with nothing. Applied to a Junior Military College (Wentworth, Lexington, MO) was accepted and offered their 2+2 scholarship (2 yrs at Wentworth the the scholarship follows him to a nearby state university to finish his 4 yr degree and final 2 yrs of ROTC). He signed the acceptance letter and the letter stating that he would be withdrawn from the national scholarship board.
He has already done his DODMERB physical.
Today DODMERB called and said they were confused. They had already processed his physical (minor remedial reqd) and they got a notice on April 4th from Cadet Command to have DS do his physical. He said CC only requests these when a national scholarship is awarded.
So I explained the situation and the papers signed and my guess would be his packet didn't get withdrawn before the last board and he was eventually awarded a scholarship. DODMERB said they would call CC, but don't be surprised if DS gets another notice for a physical.
Then we received a phone call from the in-state university that was on his National Scholarship list wondering if DS had made plans for the fall yet (this is the same school he will transfer to in 2 yrs), so I explained the situation to them.
So LLOONNGG story short, I believe there are still a few national scholarships left to be awarded.

I do believe that 99.99% of the AROTC National Board scholarship notifications have been completed.
HOWEVER, there seem to be at least a few non-awarded and/or national scholarship turn-backs (i.e. high school student received AROTC scholarship and declined) that are now "in-play" at the local battalion level for each individual university.
DS was not awarded AROTC scholarship through the 3 National Boards. Was contacted in the past 3 weeks by two of the university ROO / Enrollment Officers (from his national scholarship application) and asked if he was still interested in an AROTC scholarship at their university.
Long-story short, they said the scholarship was "his", provided that there was no budget hanky-panky (which they did not expect). Explained that they rank-ordered the scholarship applicants from their national board application and that DS was #1.
Of course, your mileage may vary as these both were smaller (1 has 24,000 students, the other 13,000) in-state public universities, not a big-10 or ivy league school.
One said that they had 2-4 year, and 3- 3 year Advance Designee, the other 1-4year and 2-3 year Advance Designee scholarships available. They explained that the local unit now had control of who to award the remaining scholarships to, not Cadet Command (national board).
Was told that by mid-May DS would be offered a scholarship contract (again, the caveat being no budget cuts or other sequestration related cuts) to the remaining unused scholarships.
So, there is still hope! Don't give up. Have your DS or DD contact the ROO/Enrollment officer at each school on their scholarship application and inquire if they have any unused / unallocated scholarships available and if they are under consideration for them.

That's because it doesn't exist anymore. There used to be one, but they did away with it a few years ago...at least that was what our cadre said. You need to have at least 2 years left of college after you've gone to field training, not going in. Sure, the course material could be taught in that time, but there's a whole lot of other stuff your doing for four years. If your college does indeed have this program, they are a very special case so I doubt anyone here can help you. You should get some more solid info from your det. Post what you find out.
Just noticed you wanted me to reply with what I found out. I did speak with them again, and they are indeed a two-year program. From what I read online, there are only two of these programs. The university used to be a four-year program but is now a two-year program. Field training takes place between junior and senior year and the cadets have to take extra classroom hours during field training (I believe that is what I understood). Other than that, I have a meeting with them again in August so I'll post any more info I found out if wanted.
