Can anyone give me information on the Prep School for the academy, or give me a link to the website?

I'm a preppie at the USAFA Prep School. Let me know if you have any specific questions I can answer. AFrpaso is another active preppie here on the forums that can help you too.

What you would say are the Pros and Cons of the Prep School? How hard is it compared to High School and are there any clubs you can join? Also I know the Academy has a Campus Crusade for Christ but does the prep school?

Ok, how hard is it to get into the prep school, and are you still required to have a congressional nomination?

You don't apply to the prep school. If you are not selected for an appointment, then the Academy can decide to offer you a prep slot. As such I'm not really sure how to address competitiveness... basically there are different reasons the Academy might think a prep slot would be good for you so it is ultimately a case by case thing...

Now I can't speak for civilians applying, but as I prior I DID have the chance to apply just to the prep school. As for competitiveness I would still think it is competitive. Think about it, you have what... 12k applicants apply and only 1.2k get in. Turns into about 10% acceptance rate. Now all 10.8k that didn't get in 'apply' to the prep school. The prep school only has around what 240 slots? Its still competitive... Now that is probably grossly simplifying it and that is assuming none are DQed or give the slots up, but you can factor in small variables like that.

^ very true... and then to complicate it more, there are the factors that a certain percentage at USAFAPS are prior enlisted and then of course there are the athletes, minorities, and people who need higher SAT scores... basically, as with the the USAFA admissions process, it's hard to determine competitiveness without knowing your competition.

Patrick, it's good that you're looking into options in case you don't get that BFE but remember you are only 14. For now, I would suggest that you just focus on excelling both in and out of the classroom and everything else will happen with time.

I think the prep class graduating either this year or 2012 had about 20% enlisted. Think it was really on 45 people, close to that I think.

Yes, I totally understand what you're saying. I'm working hard on my schoolwork, and I'm getting involved with my local CAP.
