Does CC look at transfer requests in order received or all together?
Are the notifications made via letter / email or portal page?

I'm planning on deposits at both universities but is there any chance we'll be notified by May 5th? We do know that a spot is open at the requested university.

Thanks for any insight.

If I remember correctly, my DS received his notification that his transfer had been approved either April 30 or May 1. However in our case, the deposit at his original school was due May 1 and had to be sent via snail mail so had already been mailed. And of course no refunds! Luckily it was relatively small.

We are planning on 2 deposits. I wondering when CC starts looking at that requests and when the deadline is/was for final selection board acceptances since that could play a roll in DS's case.

Hey I just my Request for Transfer notification through email today.
So I'm assuming that they are sending it out via email and very soon!
Good luck!
And btw my portal status did not change to reflect this. Hope this helps

I also sent in my Request for Transfer on April 2nd...just in case you were wondering on how long it took and stuff. (about 20 days)

...weird, I got mine via email too - was completely unexpected as our documentation made no mention of notification via email.

My portal changed --> but it reverted back to that checklist of SAT, PFA, Medical etc. Is there something wrong?!!

Thanks!! DS is rechecking his email
Portal is unchanged.
No emails but much appreciated as we'll hold off on deposits till at least end of this week.

DS's request was across brigades though, but to in state public university.

Nope, the Status Portal is always a mess. The thing still shows my older son's original info and he graduated last year. Would probably work better if they deleted all the old stuff.

Hmm, strange. I figured if anything, the portal would not change at all, nevertheless revert back to pre-Board status.

That's exactly what mine is like now. I'm sure they are just trying to reset everything. Nothing's wrong

Based on my conversation with the PMS, I expect the letters for my applicants to go out on Friday. I am not sure if the mailing date is determined by the PMS, BDE, or CC.
Well, I guess that means we will find out when we find out! ... will continue to stalk that mailbox in the meantime :thumb:

My son received his email from cadet command telling him his request to transfer his AROTC scholarship from a private school to an in-state public school was denied. There must be some interesting math going on, 45k X 3 versus 10k X 3 or 4.

I thought you said you'd received your approval?
I did! But the letter makes it even more official!!

With all due respect, the email was wonderful news - but I just don't find it as official as a piece of paper ... if that makes any sense

I am sorry to hear that. Don't forget, you son can still get an in-school scholarship. This is not the end!
