I was reading on my DD USAFA website for incoming 2017 cadets. There were a few future 2017 CC who stated that they have done none, nothing, zero of the paperwork that USAFA has sent them. They plan on doing it all on in processing day and was wondering if the cadre will be ticked off that they did no paperwork that was sent to them. The first thing that came to mind is "Are you lazy or just plain stupid". The Cadre will be on you like a fly on %&#$!!! To some of the Cadets or Cadre who read these threads, do incoming CC actually get away with this?

As a BCT Cadre, I would tell these Cadet Candidates to do it, and to have done it months ago. Especially security clearance. I still have friends who had training messed up because they did not have the proper clearance.

Yeah, security clearance is a huge one. There's so much information that is needed on that form that you isn't going to be "common knowledge" to whomever is filling the form out on I-Day. (Like the addresses of friends, aunts/uncles, grandparents, etc.) Would not wait any longer to get that done!

I don't think he's referring to Cadet Candidates, but a post on the USAFA 2017 facebook page about incoming directs.

Cadet Candidates don't have much to do honestly, but I'm sure they'll be some papers I'll need to fill out of I-Day. I only ever received one packet of instructions.

Yeah, that's insane. A lot of the paperwork already needed to be sent in by now, and the security clearance paperwork is literally impossible to do without preparing.I suspect we'll be busy with a few other things on I-Day.

Call 2017 what you want, but they are not Basic Cadets or Cadets yet.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but preppies are cadet candidates... So no misuse of the holy cadet title.

Preppies are cadet candidates, right now the class of 2017 are APPOINTEES I believe, not that it really matters.

That's who I was referring to. Trust me, I'm not looking for any special attention, Rage_14.
