Hi, I will be starting ROTC my sophomore year in the fall. (I was unable to do it my freshman year because my schedule just didn't allow me too) and I just had a question about Field Training.
I'm currently a Nursing major with a 3.7 GPA and looking at the PT scores, I max out on push ups- and sit ups and can run the 1.5mile in about 8:50. My question is, what exactly goes into being selected for field training? I know that I'm at a disadvantage since I would only be in the program for a year, vs everyone who has been in the program for two, but am I still competitive enough for a slot? About how many are typical selected each summer?
