Falcons Reapplying for USAFA Class of 2018

If you are currently a Falcon Scholar, then the reapplication process will be through your prep school. They will let your DS or DD know what is required and make sure they get it done. However, The nomination process is best completed before they go off to their prep school, so they can focus on their studies.
My DD (a FF scholar) was told in no uncertain terms to NOT start the application process until she was at the prep school. I would think that things have not changed in the past year. She did have all of her nomination applications complete before leaving in late August for prep school. Interviews were conducted over the phone and they were very understanding and encouraging.

Correct! As I recall she spoke with the SA coordinator from each member of Congress and there were some things that she did not have to resubmit but it was different for each one. For the representative she didn't even have to do a phone interview and she received a nomination. She had phone interviews with the senators' committees some time in the fall and received a nomination from one. In our state the senators coordinate and you will only receive a nomination from one.
