Hi guys,

Long time lurker here, first time poster. I have a few quick questions concerning the CFA scores. So, I failed to pass the CFA at SLE, but then drastically improved my events at the NASS CFA. However, for both CFAs, I got 0 pullups (lacking the upper body strength). My first question is, if the date of the CFA taken at NASS is next to the CFA portion of the Annapolis candidate portal, does that mean I passed? Also, if I did pass, could I transfer those scores to West Point, even though it still has 0 pull ups. Thanks for all the help guys.

If you are a male, I am pretty sure O pull up is a failure for USMA.

The process is you have to let USMA know to request your CFA score for USNA. I don't know if USMA and USNA has a same scale for passing.

If your NASS score(s) is not passing for USMA, more than likely USMA will let you retake the CFA.

Although CFA only counts for 10% of USMA WCS, in a competition situation your CFA score will make a difference. Recommend taking for CFA for West Point, especially with 0 pull up.

Hi there MemberLG,

Thanks for the quick reply. I will definitely retake the CFA and I'm currently training extremely hard for the retake. I suppose West Point and Annapolis don't have the same passing standards, but nonetheless, 0 pull ups is unacceptable, passing or not. I'd like to thank you again for the response.

I think that having the date there just means you took it. 0 pullups is not a pass for males at USNA (or USMA) from what I was told at NASS. Take it again and send the scores to both academies, good luck with your training.
