I haven't taken my CFA yet but will within the next month or so. How do my scores look? I read about a lot of guys who never made the standard but got an appointment. Anyways, here they are:
BB throw: 65-70 feet - standard is 69, only practiced once so I should improve to a consistent 70 or so
Shuttle run: 8.3-8.5 - standard is 8.8
Mile run: 6:40ish - standard is 6:40, should continue to drop to 6:20 or 6:30
Sit-ups: 60ish - standard is 80, this is my weak area, I can expect to get to at least 70, but 80 is a stretch - any tips?
Push ups: 55ish - standard is 60, should get to 65 easy enough
Pull ups: 18 - standard is 11, max is 18, why is this my best? I thought this was the toughest event for most people haha
These are individual trials, not one after another like the CFA, so I don't know how much my scores will get hurt. How much will they be affected (specifically the mile)? Does one score slightly under standard (sit-ups) hurt me when one is at the max (pull-ups)? I heard people who are too heavy for their height are allowed in if they can do x amount of pull-ups, so does the mean that pull-ups are really important to them?
Thanks for the help!
