Can a left-handed person wear a sword on their right side instead of the left side? Just a quick question about drill, Thanks!

I don't have the drill manual in front of me but I am quite certain that the sword is universally worn on the left side - regardless of your strong hand.

+1 to USMCGrunt. Formations in full dress with swords (does that ever happen?) would look pretty sloppy if the side people wore their sword on was all willy nilly.

EDIT: Checked a reputable web site (not the regs). Always worn on the left side.

You can imagine the horror of "fix bayonets" during the Manual of Arms, with lefties and righties stabbing each other.... it's best to always keep it uniform.
