I am proud to say I am an Eagle Scout, and I was just wondering how much of an impact this has on my application. Is it major? Other than being an Eagle Scout, I have great leadership activities and sports. I am also in the top 10% of my class, and have a 30 on the act. (35 English 31 math, 27 reading 27 science 31 writing). How much will being an Eagle Scout help me? Thanks!

It's a very laudable achievement and all the SA's look very favorably upon it!! :thumb:

But it guarantees nothing.

It's a big "check mark" on the leadership portion of the total package, don't get me wrong; and you should be VERY and RIGHTFULLY proud of your achievement!!

But keep pressing with the rest of your package to make it ALL that excellent!! :thumb:

I do not know how much weight it holds, but I had very similar stats in addition to a couple varsity sports and lots of community service and I just started firstie year:thumb: best of luck!

Congrats! What were you act or sat score, just out of curiosity?

Try to not get caught up with the numbers. Unless you have a 36 on your ACT or 2400 SAT- keep taking the test until you've done your best. Being an Eagle Scout is an impressive achievement but then again, a lot of other applicants will have that too and then some. Focus on what you can do with your resume. Other people's scores and stats are not that important.
