you look pretty competitive, but your name confuses me like none other, are you applying for the class of 2013??

you're class rank is pretty important, a 4.0 average is great, in my school that would mean you are absolute valedictorian without a doubt, in some of my friends schools you might not be in the top 20% with that. i'm sure you're hitting the mark though.

also if you're applying for 2013, have you gotten a nomination?

its hard to make these kind of predictions, but i would guess that by you being on this form you're not playing games and by what you've shown you're a pretty hard hitter. i think you stand a good shot

oh no...by the name i mean i will be a cadet (if i do get in...which i will) in 2012(as in plebe/new cadet-class of 2016).

about class rank...im in "one of your friend's schools"

So you're in 8th grade now?

If so, excellent time to prepare for the SA!

Its great you are starting early. The key is to keep your head out of the water and work your butt off for the next four years. Best of luck to you.

Maximus - I believe he is a freshman in high school. You are correct - this is a great time to start preparing.
Your schedule looks fine. Aim for high level math and science - a great goal is to get in a year of honors chem and physics and up to or including calculus in math.
I also think its a great idea to take as many years of a foreign language as possible since this is a requirement at USMA.

BTW - a 4.0 half way through your freshman year is not all that impressive. You have plenty of time to get a B and don't panic if you do.

oh, I already do have a B (in math-it's not that I'm not trying, I really am trying my best and asking for help, etc.), but the AP 107% average offset it making it 4.0. BTW, USMA does know Gifted level classes harder than honors classes, right? also, are my mock CFA scores okay?

Your shuttle run score of 5.5 is godly...

i think thats his 40 yard straight dash, which is much diffenent then the shuttle run

yes, a 5.5 shuttle run should probably earn you automatic appointment no questions asked

ya you seem good. if your a freshmen, run for student gov and try and stay in it for the rest of high school if you get elected, it looks good and also you actually have a say in planning prom etc.
4.0 freshmen year does mean nothing, your "real" average will come out in junior year when it starts to suck majorly with SATs etc, harder classes/more work, and then on top of that sports. so good luck with that

i was wondering why my time was so good. my bad..

Your schedule and everything looks good. But honestly, you're missing the 2 major kickers in the admissions process. The WP admissions briefing says that 60% of the evaluation is based on your ACT/SAT and your GPA. You don't have an idea of what you're going to get on either. Make sure you stick with that. Study hard and long. Because although you are on track right now, you are basically padding the other 40% of your application right now. While that is good, you have to keep in mind that the academic portion is the biggest.

Just to tell a little bit about myself. I sat down with a Cpt from WP in charge of admissions. He was evaluating my app and telling me how I looked and what I needed to work on. He only looked at my 34, 35, 36, 30 ACT and he closed the book and said I was good and asked if I had received a LOA yet.
Thats how important those tests are.

yeah, I am pretty ahead of myself so haven't yet to know the SAT/ACT...
