Hi-is it beneficial to get your paper work in early to moc's or can you just be on time.there is no rolling admissions.

It is Sept. now, and IMPO it is best to get it in now.

Kids are back in school, nothing is going to change. By sending it in now, he/she can call the office in a few days after mailing it that they have a completed file. IF not, than they can mail any missing info.

Sending it in July is not something I would support, due to updating the file. Sending in mid Sept., once in school, and if they close 9/30 or 10/15, I would do it. If it is 10/30, I would wait a few more weeks, esp. if they take the Sept ACT/SAT to update scores.

Most (if not all) MOCs set a deadline by which applications must be submitted. There is typically no benefit to submitting your packet early. Some may say it shows "motivation," but when I served on an MOC panel, we didn't look at the submission dates.

MOCs nominating committees then review all of the applications and make their decisions. Many conduct in-person or phone interviews.

Obviously, you do not want to miss the deadline by even a day, as that is often an automatic disqualifier. Thus, it makes sense to submit your packet at least a few days early so you can follow up to ensure it arrived. Also, getting it done early relieves you of the burden in the fall semester when school and other activities eat up your time.
