Hello, I attend a huge school in a city. I was wondering a few things about my GPA and class rank. My graduating class has about 540 students, and I am in the top 10.5%. My GPA is 3.88, so does the class rank hurt me? I know they said the average class rank is like 3%?

GPA is technically 3.876, but they posted on my portal 3.87; why didn't they round up? And my regular class rank puts me in the top 10.5% as I said, but my honors rank puts me in the top 8%. Why didn't they use the honors rank? I take all honors and AP courses, so why aren't they factoring this in? My GPA hasn't been recalculated either.

Thanks.

Usafa looks at the quality of the school and courses offered. Top 3% is an average and there are many valedictorians and many top 20%. The ACT is the great equalizer, what did you get on that?

On the ACT I got a 30 composite;
36 English
31 Math
27 reading
27 science
31 writing

And im confident that my science score is above a 30 on my last ACT I just took.

They never round up GPAs, period. There have been threads on this in the past which can provide you with more detail if you search for them. They also rank based on GPA and not weighted GPA, period. You're stats look fine. Your course load of honors and APs will be taken into account. It's not just the raw numbers here. Quit worrying about it all. It is what it is and worrying won't change anything. Quiet confidence is the order of the day!
