Ok, I'm a bit confused.. Husband. Just asked when DS's official obligation to the Army begins. He received a 4yr AROTC scholarship and has contracted. For some reason I remember it being said that his obligation begins when he walks back on campus for his sophomore year. However, he stated it doesn't begin until his junior year. By obligation I mean must commission or repay the scholarship.. Can someone clear this up for me? Thanks

Thanks for the link... That answers my question. So first day of sophomore year..

I guess I started second guessing myself when I thought about USMA. Is that the first day of junior year?

Yes. Or thereabouts at least.

That's what I thought and why I started second guessing myself.

Do you guys know why the years differ?

None whatsoever. You'd think there would be a rationale, but then we ARE talking about the feds.
