These are all the fitness requirements for each branch of the military.
*NOTE Enlisted are not included & AFROTC is the same for all ROTC
Numbers in parentheses are the time you are given to complete each excercise

USNA:

That's not correct. AFROTC and AROTC have completely different requirements.

And boy, 67 pushups in 1 minute is tough.

Especially when at the USNA you only have to do 75 in 2 minutes.

Re-group and re-think

How about telling us where you got those scores from. I don't believe anyone that can't reference a legitimate source.

And the statement "These are all the fitness requirements for each branch of the military" is pretty vague. These are not the fitness requirements for the Army, and there is no difference between enlisted and officer standards in the Army.

Nor does it discuss the fitness requirements of the USMC. I suppose it might represent actual data for the academies, but like you Clarkson, I would want to see a reference.

Wow, that information is so wrong that I wonder where you got it. When did a list of Average and Max become a requirement? A MINIMUM is a requirement. But thanks for posting.

Here is one of many places you can find Army ROTC fitness standards:

http://armyrotc.missouri.edu/current/physicalfitness.html

From there, we learn that the minimum 60 score (top is 100) is obtained as follows, assuming the AROTC cadet is in the 17-21 age group:

Pushups in 2 minutes: Men 42, Women 19
Situps in 2 minutes: Men and Women both: 53
2 mile run: Men 15:53, Women 18:54

Here are the Navy PRT standards for Females 17-19 in age:

Curlups in 2 minutes: 50 (3 less than Army)
Pushups in 2 minutes: 19 (same as Army)
1.5 mile run: 15:00

Each of those minimums is to keep eligibility in the Program, just as 2.0 is the minimum GPA required to stay in. As with GPA, cadets wanting to be high on the OML won't be anywhere near the minimum requirements in any of the three fitness measurements.

I apologize for the incorrect information.

I did not add www because I don't have enough posts to post links.

In the USAF ROTC program you get awarded points for pushups, situps, run, and waist measurement.

Up to 60 points for your run, 20 points for your waist measurement, and 10 each for your situps and pushups for a max of 100 points.

The chart I found had you get 60 points for running the 11/2 mile in under 9min 12 seconds. 20 points if your waist was under 32.5" 10 points for >67 pushups and >58 situps in a minute.

You continue to get points for much lower scores. Generally, 90 and above is expected.

They then listed this
* Minimum Component Values
Run time ≤ 13:36 mins:secs / Abd Circ ≤ 39.0 inches
Push-ups ≥ 33 repetitions/one minute / Sit-ups ≥ 42 repetitions/one minute

For AFROTC the minimums for men are 42 sit-ups, 33 pushups, and 13:36 1.5 mile run. Everything listed there is the max.

I agree. I'm glad he noticed.
