Officer Interview Tomorrow!

+1 to Rufus. Dress business casual. Be clean shaven. Relax and just answer questions honestly. Have a few of your own, as I'm sure you do. Toot your horn but don't go overboard. Be respectful. Yes sir, yes ma'am is the order of the day.

If you haven't done your PFT yet, come prepared with the apporpriate clothes to do so. It is often, but not always, given after the interview for Marine options.

Two words... Quiet Confidence.

Say, let us know how you thought it went. I'll be waiting to see your post. :thumb:

Did 19 pullups, 97 crunches, 17:52 three miles (292). Had a fairly good interview, not great but ok, but I hope with everything I have going for me it all should work out. Special shoutout to kinnem with a response to practically every post I've made; now all this Prospective USMC has to do is wait and see if his dream comes true!

Good luck to you. Really nice of you to shoutout to kinnem. He is a nice and helpful guy, I agree. And I predict you'll go far in life and all good things will come to you. :thumb:

Great job on the PFT! Those are great numbers and just shy of maxing the entire test.

What makes you think you didn't do well in the interview?

That is truly an awesome PFT score. Any battalion would be proud to have you. Also glad to hear the interview went well. They are always tough just because they are! I agree with USMCGrunt that whatever happens, no doubt all things will turn out well for you.

Thanks for the shoutout but I know others were consistent responders as well, including 'Grunt'.

Keep up the good work, keep your nose clean, and start working on that 300 score! :thumb: No rest for the weary!

Well we went through the interview relatively quickly, and from what I have understood from previous posters the quicker it is the worse it usually is. We talked about being the SPL for my Boy Scout troop along with Eagle Scout, then we talked about being a Cross Country captain. I just felt like I should've answered the questions a little better or practiced a little more. Idk. I'm also a perfectionist, so maybe that's the problem

I'm sure you did fine. Sounds like you talked about your leadership experiences. The academics and PFT speak for themselves so there isn't much point in covering them.
