I accidentally put my captainship for water polo instead of wrestling, and noticed it after I submitted my candidate activities record. The problem is, my school counselor verified everything, or so it says on the portal. When she had to verify this, could she have possibly marked this as incorrect and taken it off my candidate activities record even though it says verified, meaning she looked at it?

They can't modify it but they could have written a comment. I messed something up on it as well and my counselor just wrote a little note on the comments section explaining the mishap. Don't worry about it.

let it go & do not redo activities info. through the school, it may take forever to get resubmitted. Explain it with an email to the admissions officer, and they will put it-correction in the application file with an explaination, and then they know about and can explain it if need. They are very good at dealing with issues like this, whereas your high school people may not act as quickly as you want.

I also think there is more chance to have them mess up something else if you try to change. Since you are a team captain you will get WCS points for that. The fact it is shown for the wrong sport probably doesn't matter. If, for example, you never played that sport and then put down team captain, you would certainly want to update that to be accurate.

But ultimately, we don't know what's in the system. As OP said, they don't know if the guidance counselor corrected it or not. It's possible that the guidance counselor said, no he didn't captain that sport and stopped there. In that case the records are not showing any captaincy. Best to call and get the record straight. JMPO.
