Sorry for the dramatic thread name, but I believe my following message is important. To all applicants and assisting parents, please take all posts and threads in this forum with a grain as salt as not all posted information is guaranteed to be correct. While there are some very reliable posters (heres looking at you Pima) that make this site extremely valuable, the only guaranteed facts are those from those in charge of the scholarship process. Good luck to all applicants and may the odds be ever in your favor!

So what went wrong with your scholarship application that warrants a scary thread with what should be common sense?

Shocker!

Welcome to the anonymous internet. It's a new concept*.

*Not really a new concept, but an ever changing one based off the original idea from former VP Al Gore.

Did you post a scare thread because it's close to Halloween? Information here from most posters is probably the most reliable SA/ROTC advice that you can get on the internet. For the layman I can't think of a better place to go to get a walk through of the process....

Sorry I don't understand the point of this thread.

Sorry I don't understand the point of this thread.

I think someone on the forums told him that if he liked his health insurance, he could keep his health insurance.

Obamacare jokes fall pretty flat when the forum is full of candidates competing for government provided healthcare.

It makes an O-1 benefits look that much better. The CEO of Aetna said rates would go up 30-100% to cover the increased taxes and cost for minimum benefits. The benefit is probably worth nearly 10k for our new officers.

Ok, I'm confused a bit.

For fun I looked back at your previous post (9 of them). I sure didn't see anywhere that you received bad information. Actually, it looked like everyone tried to answer your questions.

So....what's the reason for such a post with a big "Warning" sign. The Hunger Games quote doesn't help much either.

If there was some mis-information that was posted here that you are aware of, then the best thing would be to post the correct information so all can benefit.

Just wait until they get to experience that government provided healthcare.... the jokes won't be the only things falling flat.

Isn't everything posted on the internet true?

It is! it is! I read it ... somewhere online...

And regards government provided health insurance; I suppose it is the very worst thing .... except for 'no health insurance'.... All those poor folks on medicare, why it is hard to imagine them getting any medical care at all...

Well, as anyone in the medical profession would tell you, people without insurance ARE getting care....

LMAO on this thread. SO many people complain that a thread has warped from the OP starting on page 5. This one went to the warp mode at record speed!

In a couple of more pages we will probably be on why Comcast gets movies on demand before Redbox and Netflix.

Back on topic. The fact is old posters, such as me, will typically place in their response to talk to the cadre or their ALO/BGO/FFR, etc. ROTC tweaks things yr to yr and that is why it is also important as others have said to come back and "warp" the thread if it needs to educate posters.

I.E. Many posters that are new will post just ROTC, and not place an A/AF/N. AFROTC is totally different for selection than A/NROTC because they do not superscore SAT/ACT

If a poster stated only ROTC, and the response was they do superscore, than they would get false information as an AFROTC candidate.

The forum is a 2 way street, the more info given about the scenario behind the question the greater the chance that the info you will receive the correct factual information. Nobody is asking for your eye color and maternal mother's maiden name, but when you ask anything give more than asking does ROTC superscore (not pointing at you), just saying there are a ton of threads like that, and IMPO that is when you go down the road of mis-information getting out there as truth.

OBTW, I won't lose sleep if the thread diverts to explain to me why Comcast gets some movies earlier than Redbox! I am mentally tired regarding Obamacare.
