Is the prep school open for community college students that wish to go to USMA but don't have the test scores or grades? I am a second time applicant but am having a hard time raising my test scores. I don't have military parents and don't know if I will be able to get a nomination. I am also a second time applicant

Prep School

Without grades or scores, it would be hard to get in. If you are standing out at your college that would help (academics/sports/student life). I was in a similar situation after high school. I ended up enlisting, serving two years in the Army, and then going to prep school. Not a route for everyone, but it worked for me. I was also ready to serve my time if I had not got in the Academy.

Just a reminder, the age limit - "not yet 23 years of age on July 1 of your year of admission." There is an exception for combat veterans if their deployment prevented them from applying.

I am 21 years old, and by the time I am in my plebe year I would be 22.
