I have an interview coming up for my MOC. I know that there will be upwards of 14 people on the panel arranged in a horseshoe, with me in the middle. I'm not nervous for this part because I have already met nearly all of them.
My question is: do I shake their hands? There are 14 people, and if they're looking to make it quick that would be a waste of time in a sense?
There's one guy heading the board and I think the MOC will be there. I believe I should shake their hands but what ques should I look out for regarding everyone else?
sorry it's such a silly question! :yllol:

I wouldn't. General etiquette is to allow the senior person in a handshake to initiate. Play it by ear, but initially no need to go down the line of 14....

Not a silly question. I ran into this situation a few weeks back when I was interviewed by 8 people in a horseshoe shape. I was unaware of this format until I entered the room and did not know any of the interviewers. With that being said I chose not to shake their hands. It felt slightly odd leaving the room without shaking their hands, but it is what it is! Good luck!

I faced a similar situation with one of the boards having about 10 members on it. I walked into the room and shook everyone's hand, but then when I left one of the members just stated that his handshake would act as one for the entire assembly. It's probably best to just play it by ear and see what they say!
