I have one remedial requested from DoDMERB right now pertaining to a medical issue I had several (about 5 or 6) years ago. DoDMERB is requesting that I have my "PCM state the cause and the current status". The problem is, I have changed several doctors since then and haven't brought up this particular medical problem to any of them (I stopped taking my medication prescribed for it and haven't had any issues). I don't even know where the doctor who treated me for it is now. How would I go about completing this remedial? Thanks in advance.

So...what's your medical issue?

If I'm correct, R251.21 is an allergic reaction to shellfish.

ANY food allergy will cause an immediate red light at DODMERB! Some of them can be fairly mild, while some can be lethal.

You're going to have to do some digging...calling all doctors, etc...etc...because I'm betting DODMERB will really be all over this.

Of course, calling them on their 800 line and explaining and asking their advice might not be out of line.

Ulnar neuropathy (which is what I was prescribed medication for). Also, some fainting episodes that tests were done for and nothing was found (no medication was prescribed for this).

I know the "blurb" from the Army's medical regs about fainting from a retention standpoint. Reoccurring fainting results in the initiation of a MEB. However I don't remember anything in the regs about fainting from a recruitment standpoint.

I wouldn't be surprised if you received a neuro, PT, or OT consult for your neuropathy.

Retention blurb:

AR40-501 3–21. Heart

l. Recurrent syncope or near syncope of cardiovascular etiology that is not controlled or when it interferes with the performance of duty, even if the etiology is unknown.

Rule of thumb of 40-501: Chapters 2 and 4 are the doormen at Club Med. Chapter 3 is the bouncer at Club Med. You might make it past the door.

Good luck!
