This is my first thread on this site and to start out, I would like to thank everyone for making this whole thing possible and helping out so many candidates with all of there questions! Anyway, I believe I am "mostly" qualified for an appointment to USNA but the one thing holding me back might be my SAT scores ( I have yet to take the ACT). I received a 770 Math 640 Critical Reading and 620 Writing. The reason for my trepidation is that of the people I talked to who currently attend the academy, most told me their scores were higher than mine. Mind you, I am 4/100 class rank, 4.0 GPA, State Senator at NJ Boy's State, 2 Varsity letter Athlete as a freshmen ( I am currently a senior), class president, Model United Nations delegate, tons of community service, the works. However, I just don't know if my my SAT are up to par. If anyone can help me or tell me what sections I should raise (im taking the ACT soon) it would be much appreciated. Also, for anyone who already has received an LOA what kind of scores did you receive? Thanks for the help everyone and good luck to all applicants!!!!
