I received an LOA from USNA today (Friday the 13th), and I wanted to know if I should inform the congressional offices I am waiting a nomination from about my LOA.

When I opened my email a few minutes ago, they all notified me that they've received a copy of my LOA.

Look on the back of the letter and see if the academy "CC" your MOC'S?

Agree with Rufus...it should have the CC to all of your nomination sources.

Even at that, and follow your own conscience, you MAY want to call to ensure they have it e.g. my DS received LOA to USNA with CC to all congressional offices but it just took a few minutes to call them to make sure they had it. In one instance, they said they received it but it was too late to be included in the prep package sent to the committee that was to interview him in advance of the interview itself. They advised him to make sure it was mentioned during the interview or they would not have know that at the time.

Glad we checked it out and while your own situation may be different I wouldn't leave anything to chance. Hope this helps.

On the back it had an area that said copy to, and had the names of my representative and 2 senators. I just didn't know if I was supposed to personally notify them.

DS received LOA from USMMA well after his nomination interviews. He immediately sent the LOA to the MOCs (emailed it and snail mailed it).

He/we figured that since the MOCs in Pennsylvania have not yet communicated their nomination decisions, that it would cause no harm and it doesn't hurt to let them know that an Academy has deemed you admissible.
