So I'm really interested in Air Force academy but I have just been filling out an application to West Point just to do it... The thing is that a diversity officer has kept calling on me and kept checking up on my progress on my application and they had a cadet call me and give me a run down of West Point. My officer is pushing for me to get a nomination, getting details and urging me to finish my application by Christmas and talked about appointments come in January. Then today I got a call saying he wanted me to come visit in Feb and they would pay for flight, hotel and food for me and my mother  soooo what does this all mean? Or am I just like every other applicant

Note: I haven't recieved a LOA or LOE or anything like that.

For competitive "diversity" candidates, that is the norm.

Same thing happened for me!

FYI, Be sure to take advantage of the visit, you get to see a lot, hear a lot, and eat a lot, and with you going in February, you get to see the gloomy side of the academy!

GOOD LUCK!

WHAT!.....

Take advantage of it. They don't chase applicants.
