When you found out that you were Q or DQ, did you find out on DoDMERB's website first, or did the letter arrive before that?

DS found out through the website, letter came just a day or so later.

I have my appointments Friday, but do you check the DODMERB or DODMETS website to see your status? How long after the medical/eye/hearing exams is a decision usually present?

OP: I have found out from the website first each time there was a new development. Good luck!

S&H,
First all of the paperwork needs to go through DoDMETS. Once your status on DoDMETS says "Complete" or "Closed" or something to that extent (can't remember), that means they have forwarded the paperwork on to DoDMERB. From then on you can check your status on DoDMERB. So long as all of the paperwork is in order (mine wasn't because of the doc I went to), it does not take that long to hear back. With my stuff, once all of of the paperwork was in order, and it was over to DoDMERB, they were asking for remedials within a week if I remember correctly. Actually the longest part of this whole process for me is waiting to hear about a waiver.

Awesome, thanks NavyNurse! I only wear contacts and have allergies to two medications, so I'm pretty certain I'll have no problem getting qualified.

The website (not sure which one, DS handles himself) was updated ten business days after his appointments.

I also have another big question:

I don't think I ever actually logged on to the DoDMETS website - I just printed all of the necessary forms straight from dodmerb.tricare.osd.mil.

I know that the optometrist's information went through DoDMETS because I saw it up on his screen (it was submitted electronically), so I am assuming the medical did the same. However, it was posted above that my status must read as "complete" on the DoDMETS website for them to forward it to DoDMERB.

Since I have never logged into DoDMETS, but I have already done everything for my appointments and everything has been submitted, would it mess up the system if I logged in as a first time user now?

My status on the DoDMERB website has been listed as "Under DoDMERB Review" for all four of my academy applications for about a month now, just FYI.
