I took my CFA test today and was wondering if my scores are where they need to be.

Basketball Throw - 72 feet
Pull ups - 18
Shuttle Run - 8.8 seconds
Push-ups - 75
Sit-ups - 95
Mile run - 6:47

Looks good to me. Better than mine. I am still waiting to here on EA. You are above avg. on all except the mile run (I show avg. of 6:36). I am hoping that the CFA criteria are more "pass-fail" as I am good on all else. I did not do terrible but below avg. on all. You should be good if all your other stuff (academics, scores, extra-curricular) is where it needs to be. Good luck.

I don't think CFA scores are all that harshly looked at. As far as my scores go, it would lead me to believe that it is pass or fail. I got a LOA and only 3 of my events were above average (sit-ups by 1 rep) and 3 were below average (especially shuttle run).

Your scores look very good. They (almost positively) won't be a factor in holding you back.

...just my 2 cents. Take it or leave it, and best of luck :thumb:

Obviously your a guy asking about the CFA because my scores on the pull ups is a lot lower. But yes you'll totally pass. I think you'll be around 560 points out of 600 if I remember the men's mile time correctly.

I had similar CFA scores as well

Basketball Throw: 71
Pull ups: 16
Shuttle Run: 7.9sec
Sit ups: 90
Push ups: 75
Mile: 6:08

Keeperkat90 do you know how many points I may get? seems like you know the scoring system behind it.

Actually I believe the testing is out of 500 even though there is 6 events. Basically it's a averaging guess haha. You see how close or far away from the Max for your gender you are. I believe the Max for the gender is 100 points.

From what I've been told by other cadets, the CFA is not a huge factor. My scores were decent but not quite as good as the two guys who posted above, and I was accepted. My mile time was 6:11, shuttle was 8.1, push-ups was 75, bball throw was 65 I think, sit-ups was 90, and only 10 pull-ups. As long as your scores aren't REALLY bad, don't worry too much about the numbers.

Those don't look bad but you should look at the candidate booklet and see if you meet the average scores. I would work on that mile time between now and basic training time. The website specifies that your mile time is going to be significantly heightened when you start running at the academy because of the altitude change. So what is really a 7 min mile will turn out to be a 8:30 ish mile at the academy.
