First off, I am very happy. I feel like so much weight has been lifted off my shoulders now that my CQ and SLE app are in. However, I am worried that I may have just bashed my chances at an LOA with my PSAT scores. I have a 199 total, 67/65/67 CR/Math/WR, not very good. My goal is an LOA, and since from my understanding, they based LOA offers off the CQ, is it possible to submit SAT scores when I get them on Feb 15th? Thanks in advance.

Mid 60s are fine for PSAT scores for SLE. Not sure about resubmitting though....

From the West Point Admissions FAce Book page:

West Point Admissions More on scores PSAT - mid 60s, SAT - mid 600s, ACT - mid 20s or higher.

More from Admissions:

...applying at 12:01 gains no advantage. Having a complete file (all information required) at the time of the application initiation for SLE is best! We will not send any offer letters until Feb. 10 (approximate date).

LOA offers are not based off of PSAT scores, no idea where you could have hard that but you shouldn't be worrying about it right now.

Agreed Sua - I was provding information on PSAT scores for SLE.

Also agreed - for the candidate portal for admisisons into the Academy for the class of 2019 - there is more than enough time for any DD/DS to take the SAT or ACT multiple times and upload those scores.

Sorry about that. I believe I read somewhere that the LOA was based off of the CQ solely, thanks for clarifying that for me.

LOAs aren't the end of the world. They are nice to get but the ultimate goal is to get appointed.

You could get a LOS without completing your application. So if you take out Medical, CFA, and SOEs, what's remaining? CQ, transcript, essays, SAT/ACT score, and etc.
