Welcome to the forum! There is so much information to absorb on this forum and it would be difficult to attempt to summarize all in one post.

Quick tips:

1. Take the hardest course load available (AP/Honors/IB) and get good grades.
2. Get involved in activities that you like. Show commitment and pursue leadership roles. Remember, in order to be a leader you must first learn to be a follower.
3. Get involved in athletics. Pursue a team captain role.
4. Browse the forums, absorb information, and do not forget to take a look at the stickies. Stickies contain invaluable information and may answer many frequently asked questions. (Learn to use the Search method)
4. Most important, enjoy your high school experience and good luck in your future endeavors.

Welcome. I am pleased you are starting to look this early. Lots of time to get prepared with course work, extra curriculars, etc.
